Job summary
Qnity seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to lead complex automation capital projects at our Newark site. You will collaborate with operations, process, and quality teams to define equipment and system requirements, integrate robotics, vision inspection, and other automation components, and drive successful FAT/SAT and startup activities.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or Automation Engineering and 7+ years of manufacturing automation experience, with
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
- 7+ years in automation, equipment engineering, or capital project execution in manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead complex automation system integration.
- Experience with MOC and change review processes.
- Experience with equipment qualification and validation.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of automation capital projects from concept through startup.
- Develop project SOWs with engineering teams.
- Define equipment and system requirements with stakeholders.
- Coordinate FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Interface with global automation teams and support design reviews.
- Lead change qualification and validation activities, including risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and internal standards.
