Job summary

PepsiCo 1NA Engineering is seeking a technical project manager to lead the execution of the Frito Lay Plant Warehouse’s Automated Guided Vehicle, Palletizing, Loading Automation, and Board on Floor projects.

The role requires leading scoping and design, supporting installation and start-up activities, and guiding cross-functional teams with a strong engineering background. Expect 25-40% travel and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and computer skills; CAD skills preferred.
• Proven ability to multi-task.
• Established record of project definition and execution.
• Technical curiosity and innovative thinking to drive transformational change.
• Understanding of warehouse and material handling automation technologies and controls.
• Ability to communicate to various levels of the organization.
• Travel 25%-40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping and design recommendations for AGV projects.
• Support installation and start-up activities for new projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams with internal and external resources.
• Apply engineering principles to problem solving and managing changes.
• Manage project risks and communications.
• Develop and execute equipment installation and start-up plans with contractors.
• Manage multiple deliverables with accelerated timelines and competing priorities.
• Partner with OEMs to improve equipment design, upgrades, training, and maintenance.
• Develop into SME for Frito Lay’s Automated Guided Vehicles.
• Travel 25%–40%.
