Job summary

The position centers on leading project planning, coordination and execution for client projects in the water/wastewater sector.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, 3–5 years of project management experience, and strong I&C knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in water/wastewater.
• Strong understanding of I&C systems in water/wastewater facilities.
• Advanced understanding of instrumentation and controls in water/wastewater.
• Proficient reading and understanding of engineering drawings and specs.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical and libraries.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and execution of projects.
• Develop detailed project plans including schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Cultivate positive working relationships with clients and team members.
• Manage client relationships, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Oversee project performance to ensure scope, schedule and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, contractors and vendors.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present status reports to project leads, management and clients.
• Ensure all work adheres to regulatory and safety standards.
• Create scope of work details and prepare pricing for proposals and change orders.
• Review control panel calculations, drawings, I/O lists, submittals and O&M manuals and provide feedback to I&C Designers.
• Provide support to on-site technicians and programmers.

Salary Range: $98,000.00 To $117,500.00 Annually

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in project management in water / wastewater industry
• Strong understanding of I&C systems and control technologies used in water / wastewater treatment facilities
• Advanced understanding of instrumentation and controls in water / wastewater
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, approachability in demeanor, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities, including managing challenging or complex interactions
• Comfortable reading and understanding engineering and construction drawings, and standard specifications
• Knowledge in using AutoCAD electrical and libraries
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, and show close attention to detail
• Ability to work with strict and competing deadlines on an ongoing basis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
