JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for being the liaison between PMD and the customer, as well as managing projects from Customer Kick-off to completion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Project Leader
• Maintain schedule.
• Conduct internal team meetings on a regular basis.
• Conduct customer meetings on a regular basis.
• Coordinate debug and FAT plans.
• Road Block Removal and/or Conflict Resolution.
• Coordinate shipping, installation, startup, and SAT activities at customer site.
• Ensure that all project deliverables are met.
• Project Planner
• Clear understanding of the project scope.
• Develop schedule, build and debug plans.
• Identify project resourcing needs and assignments.
• Develop and maintain an Open/Action item list.
• Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) as required.
• Monitor project budget.
• Release drawings and BOM’s from Engineering to procurement.
• Communication
• Interface with customer and team to ensure all needs are met.
• Provides status and progress reports to customers, project team and management.
• Coordinate the flow of information to and from the customer and project team.
• Interfaces with accounting to ensure that billings are submitted upon achieving milestones.
• Observe safety procedures.

OTHER DUTIES

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Engineering Degree.
• 10 or more years’ experience in project management in the Automation Industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office including Microsoft Project.

• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
