Job summary

ADUSA Distribution is seeking a Specialist Automation Project Engineer in Salisbury, NC, to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of automation technologies across our distribution network.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, developing business cases, and partnering with Operations and external vendors to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective automation solutions. Travel of ~20–25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Engineering roles.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a PM capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation, robotics, and material handling solutions across the network.
• Identify opportunities to enhance DC performance through automation technologies and equipment.
• Partner with operations to understand challenges and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate technologies and secure project approvals.
• Develop business cases, capital justifications, and financial analyses to support investments.
• Manage multiple complex, cross-functional projects from concept to implementation within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Collect and analyze operational/financial data to measure project success and align with goals.
