Job summary

DHL eCommerce in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support parcel sorters, automation safety, robotics, computer vision, and machine moves across the DC network. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Network Design, and vendors to manage defined project scopes and deliver results aligned with cost, schedule, safety, and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 years of work experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% or as needed.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in parcel sorting automation, automation design and implementation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and independently manage defined project scopes or workstreams within larger automation programs.
• Coordinate project schedules, action items, and milestone tracking.
• Interface with Operations, IT, vendors, and Engineering to support execution and issue resolution.
• Support robotics initiatives, including stationary robotics and mobile robotics.
• Develop and maintain CAD layouts (AutoCAD) for new and modified systems; prepare SOPs and technical docs.
• Support training, commissioning, and go-live activities at DC sites.
