Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Project Engineer II to lead engineering projects from concept to execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and drive technical solutions for automation, controls, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline as listed.
• 3–5 years of experience in project/automation/manufacturing engineering.
• Proven track record leading engineering projects from concept to production release.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and controls systems.
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and machine integration.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo) for design reviews.
• Solid project management skills: planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium engineering projects from initiation through completion.
• Define scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, risks, and mitigations.
• Design and implement automation, controls, and process-improvement solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and root-cause analyses to support decisions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and R&D.
• Support equipment specs, procurement, installation, validation, and ramp-up.
• Present project updates, technical reports, and design reviews to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
