Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Project Engineer II to apply power system automation knowledge to design, configure, validate, install, commission and operate automation and protection systems.

You will lead customer training, assist in proposals, and mentor staff while ensuring work aligns with scope, schedule and budget and upholding SEL values and manufacturing principles. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
• 5+ years relevant application experience with electric power systems.
• Experience with electric power system protection, control, integration or automation.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally at least 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead in training customers on automation and protection systems.
• Assist in proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
• Mentor and develop staff; may supervise.
• Apply SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
