Job summary

Baker Group is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical support and administrative help to Project Managers and the business unit. The role will be primarily based at the Clarksville, Arkansas location with strong focus on coordinating design, procurement, budgeting and scheduling.

You will build client relationships, assist with estimates and proposals, and ensure quality and on‑time project delivery while collaborating with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 4‑year Engineering or Construction Management degree and 0‑1 year of experience, including internships.
• Project Engineer II: 4‑year Engineering or Construction Management degree and 1‑4 years of experience, including internships.
• May begin to run small projects or develop a book of business on their own.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and business development support to build client relationships and assist with design, estimating, and proposals.
• Participate in planning and formulate actions for the business unit to achieve results.
• Assist with day‑to‑day coordination and administration of projects, including scope, budgets, and procurement.
• Assist with procuring subcontractors and monitoring work quality and schedule.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through ongoing scheduling coordination and feedback with the team.
• Attend jobsite visits and internal meetings, tracking action items and follow‑ups.
• Ensure project performance adheres to design and specifications.
• Develop relationships with customers to increase revenue opportunities.
• Use standard company documents for pre‑proposal checks, turnovers, subcontracts, and warranties.
