Job summary

EMCOR Group in California is seeking an Automation Project Coordinator/Manager to plan, organize, and control contract functions for small Automation projects and to assist Project Managers on larger Automation initiatives. This role emphasizes adherence to engineering and automation standards and strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Key duties include scheduling, design submittals, RFIs, change orders, QA documentation, and coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or business management.
• 3+ years experience in Automation and/or Process Controls.
• Experience submitting proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel.
• Strong verbal and listening communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and meet demanding customer requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Must possess valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers, programmers, designers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure required design & installation information is provided correctly and on-time

• Coordinates the necessary supplies, equipment, and services from appropriate sources and maintains inventory control, maintenance, and consumable supplies
• Authority to review and approve design submittals to ensure compliance
• Assist Project Managers on automation projects

Job Summary

This position involves planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and controlling all contract functions between Mesa Energy Systems and our client for small Automation projects and assisting Project Managers for larger Automation projects. This position will include oversight and application of Automation Programming and Engineering standards

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel; a thorough understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and operations and the ability to meet demanding customer requirements.
• Must have strong verbal and listening communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette as well as a professional friendly demeanor.
• Proven ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with extreme accuracy and adjust to changing priorities.
• The ability to anticipate needs and solve job related problems independently and act with appropriate urgency.
• Advanced AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
• Must possess valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $105,000 per year
