Job summary

Axis Automation is seeking a career-oriented Project Coordinator to join a tight-knit team that designs and services custom factory automation equipment. You’ll support Project Managers from kickoff to closure, handle communications, KPI tracking, and cost/scope monitoring, while assisting with administrative tasks.

You will coordinate critical dates, prepare reports, and ensure accurate cost tracking across multiple projects, with travel as needed to installations and client sites.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in engineering/automation.
• Willingness to travel up to 25-50%, including weekends with advanced notice.
• Background in administrative support.
• Experience using project management tools (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel)
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills internally and externally.
• Knowledge of project management best practices.
• Financial and analytical proficiency.
• Familiarity with automation project life cycles.
• Ability to stay highly organized and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Risk management and proactive mitigation planning.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers to follow open equipment projects from customer order through completion.
• Coordinate critical dates of customer visits, part receipt tracking, travel, etc.
• Administrative aspects including job closing, milestone payments, and invoices.
• Prepare project communications and generate reports.
• Maintain information in project folders and track costs.
• Coordinate with designers/suppliers/purchasing on items and delivery dates.
• Prepare internal/external project status meetings and escalate critical issues.
• Travel to installations to lead execution and support proposals.
