Job summary

DSV is seeking a Program Manager, Automation NA to lead end-to-end automation initiatives for North America Contract Logistics. You will drive strategy, design, and deployment of scalable automation technologies that improve efficiency and competitiveness across client operations.

The role requires a strong background in warehouse automation, ROI modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with solution design, operations, and vendor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse/logistics, including 3+ years in automation engineering or closely related role.
• Proven experience designing and deploying automated warehouse solutions; expertise in material flow, information flow, intelligent automation, and cognitive platforms.
• Strong blend of business, operations, system integration, and technology design for scalable automation in warehouses.
• Experience developing and presenting business cases and ROI analyses for executive decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Experience leading end-to-end automation implementations in greenfield and brownfield environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams from concept to go-live.
• Hands-on experience with automation integration infrastructure, including networks and communication systems.
• Familiarity with WMS and its integration with automation platforms.
• Self-driven with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and deployment of innovative automation solutions for new and existing operations.
• Partner with Solution Design teams to develop competitive RFPs, including automation selection and budgeting.
• Own end-to-end automation lifecycle: design, vendor selection, capital planning, layout, and implementation.
• Conduct ROI analyses to justify automation investments and business targets.
• Manage vendor relationships across design, installation, testing, and post-go-live support.
• Oversee cross-functional implementation, including system integration and validation.
• Serve as liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders on design and scope.
• Develop and execute test strategies for functional and technical validation.
• Lead training programs across operations, safety, maintenance, and support teams.
• Support go-live, hypercare, and transition to steady-state operations.
• Establish project governance, documentation, and change management processes.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and emerging automation tech.
