Job summary

Amcor in Kentucky is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering support, define corrective actions, and lead improvement initiatives across plant operations.

You will design controls systems, reduce downtime, manage capital projects, and collaborate with vendors, operations and safety teams.

A college degree in a related field and PLC/RS Logic knowledge are required; TPM experience is a plus; strong problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an associated field; high school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of PLC and RS Logic to test/adjust equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM; OSHA safety regulations regarding Hot Work, Confined Spaces, Electrical Safety, etc. preferred.
• Experience creating and implementing TPM programs and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and reduce machine downtime while increasing process efficiency.
• Review, assess and design safety devices and controls as needed.
• Develop controls systems using engineering knowledge with equipment manufacturers.
• Plan department activities based on production schedules; optimize manpower and facilities.
• Develop and administer web-based control tools using Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
• Provide design and technical support of PLC-based hardware and control systems.
