Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years engineering experience in a plant or engineering firm.
• Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal).
• Self-starter with problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of instrumentation used in process control.
• Understanding of control system architecture.
• Experience configuring, documenting, and troubleshooting control systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, logic drawings, electrical drawings and vendor manuals.
• Working knowledge of PSM elements.
• Knowledge of Rockwell PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve plant controls and electrical infrastructure.
• Design, program, and modify PLCs, HMIs, PID controllers, VFDs, and other control devices.
• Provide technical support to improve safety, production, quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Serve as the primary contact for control systems, historians, and plant networks.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical and controls issues.
• Identify and implement process control improvements and platform migrations.
• Support and lead capital projects.
• Mentor engineers on controls, network infrastructure, and hardware architecture.
• Lead investigations involving process control incidents and corrective actions.
• Standardize process control logic and HMI interfaces across the facility.
• Champion electrical safety procedures and best practices.
• Provide controls support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
