Job summary

Chattanooga State Community College seeks an Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology & Automated Controls Instructor for a 9-month tenure-track position at the Chattanooga State campus.

You will teach and develop courses on automation, PLCs (Allen-Bradley), electrical/electronics topics, and industrial control systems, while maintaining labs and partnering with industry to keep programs current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree with relevant certifications, or equivalent work experience.
• Qualifying fields include Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology or related fields.
• Experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and controls is preferred.
• Nationally recognized certification within subject matter is acceptable.
• Teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach Electrical Engineering Technology and automation courses including PLCs and electronics.
• Develop and maintain curriculum aligned with current industry standards in automation and control systems.
• Deliver engaging instruction and maintain hands-on labs reflecting modern industrial practices.
• Collaborate with industry partners to ensure workforce relevance and experiential learning.
