Norris Cylinder Company in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to research, plan and design electrical and electromechanical products and systems. The role requires inhibiting on-site work 5 days a week at the Huntsville location and coordinating with engineering, maintenance and production teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years of PLC programming and control experience in heavy industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of experience with PLCs and control systems in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience designing and integrating automation and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data to determine design feasibility.
• Designs automation systems including controls, robots, PID devices.
• Programs and maintains PLC controls for manufacturing equipment.
• Creates and updates wiring diagrams and schematics in AutoCAD.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA and Arc Flash standards.
• Directs installation activities to match engineering design and safety requirements.
• Supports maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
