Job summary

A leading automation solutions provider is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will develop industrial control systems, lead automation projects from inception to completion, and have robust skills in robot programming and electrical design using AutoCAD. This full-time position requires strong communication abilities and the capability to travel to customer sites. Comprehensive benefits including insurance and a 401(k) plan are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls experience in the machine building OEM industry preferred.
• Ability to travel and work at customer facilities for ~30%, typically in 2-week spurts.
• Proven ability in robot programming, preferably with Fanuc.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical automation systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Direct assembly during installation of equipment.
• Lead start-up at customer site and ensure project completion.
