Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician 1E to troubleshoot medium to complex automation systems and controls. The role requires advanced electrical and controls expertise and a background in industrial maintenance across diverse equipment.

You will interpret schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and work with contractors/OEMs to implement improvements and ensure reliable operation of woodworking machinery and related lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of VFDs and industrial communications.
• Ability to interpret advanced schematics and technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform all Maintenance Technician 1M duties.
• Interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls schematics regardless of machine origin.
• Troubleshoot VFDs, servo systems, relay logic, safety circuits, sensors, and distributed I/O.
• Diagnose analog and digital control systems.
• Read and modify basic PLC ladder logic.
• Develop basic PLC programs and machine improvements.
• Support CNC routers, conveyors, finishing systems, and woodworking equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and integrators
