Philip Morris USA in Richmond, VA is seeking an Automation and PLC Instrumentation Electrician to own the repair, diagnosis, and upgrades of production and packaging systems on cutting-edge lines.
The role offers starting pay of $44/hour with a path to $51.76/hour after 120 days, plus shift differentials. Day 1 benefits include health, vision, and dental, weekly pay, relocation support, and opportunities for incentive-based pay and retirement plans.
Qualifications
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Preferred: apprenticeship, technical school, equivalent military technical training, industrial technology degree, or journeyman’s card.
- Able to work any shift and support overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Consistent, dependable attendance.
- Growth mindset with a drive to learn and contribute.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair production and packaging systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades on electronic control systems; drive process improvements.
- Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild assemblies to meet specs and production requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues, propose alternatives, and implement practical solutions.
- Contribute to factory-wide initiatives that elevate quality, safety, and throughput.
