Job summary

Autoliv United States is seeking an Automation and PLC Engineer (Controls) to analyze, design, develop and test automated equipment and processes. You will troubleshoot control problems, create PLC/HMI programs, and design hardware modifications to meet customer needs.

Ideal candidates have experience with Ethernet/IP networks, PLC ladder logic, and Fanuc robotics, and are comfortable collaborating in a team to improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or electrical engineering (or senior status)
• Knowledge of plant automation networks and control systems
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs and industrial hardware
• Experience with automation controls programming and ladder logic

Responsibilities

• Analyze, research, design, develop and test equipment, materials and processes
• Troubleshoot machine control problems; facilitate software and process design
• Create PLC and HMI programs; design hardware modifications
