Job summary

Southern Champion Tray is hiring a Packer Technician at the Amnicola Plant in Chattanooga, TN. You will support the operator in setting up, maintaining, and operating the auto-packer and related equipment to keep lines running at target speed. You will assist with quality sampling and data entry on shop floor records.

Day shift, 3 days on 12 hours (6:30 AM–6:30 PM EST). Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to utilize simple software.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the auto-packer and related equipment.
• Feed product into the gluer and pack finished product into cases.
• Assist with setup of pack assist, case sealer, and labeler as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area following Food Safety and 5S standards.
