Job summary

ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, is seeking a Sr Staff Automation & Controls Engineer to drive advanced automation in server manufacturing. You will design, implement, and optimize mechatronic systems, PLCs, robotics, and vision-based inspection across high-volume production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on DFM/DFA, PFMEA outputs, and predictive analytics to improve yield, cycle time, and quality. A background in electronics assembly and data analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
• Strong background in statistical methods (regression, correlation, DOE, PFMEA).
• Proficiency with data-driven tools (Python, R, SQL, Minitab/JMP).

Responsibilities

• Define and implement automation systems and metrology for smart factory initiatives.
• Develop scalable automation strategies aligned with product roadmaps and NPI support.
• Lead tool qualification, documentation, and operator training for new equipment.
• Use data-driven methods (SPC, DOE, PFMEA) to improve yield and reliability.
