Job summary

ABB is seeking a manufacturing engineer to optimize assembly methods, processes, and equipment in Senatobia, MS. The role focuses on reducing labor hours while aligning with quality, efficiency, and safety goals.

You will define sequences for new automated processes and support production start-ups to meet targets. The position requires a mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering background, 5+ years in manufacturing or automation, and proficiency with CAD tools and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (required).
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process automation, or production optimization.
• Experience with automated production systems and industrial equipment.
• Proficient in CAD/simulation tools and test management platforms.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities and implement process automation projects with quality, time, and cost adherence.
• Define working phase sequences for new automated production processes to meet cost and equipment targets.
• Support Production during start-up and training of maintenance and production resources.
• Drive continuous improvement to maximize throughput and minimize waste on existing lines.
• Manage project budgets and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Ensure product quality and safety compliance through testing and standards.
