Job summary

Baker Group seeks an Automation Manufacturing Manager in Des Moines to lead and develop the Automation manufacturing team, overseeing panel shop operations and offsite manufacturing. You will drive standard work, improve processes, and manage KPIs to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a manufacturing discipline, 5+ years of leadership experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA/QC, purchasing, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in manufacturing/operations leadership.
• Minimum five years in manufacturing, production management, or automation.
• Minimum two years leading/managing teams across functions.
• Ability to read production docs, BOMs, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with ROI analyses and technology implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop assigned Automation manufacturing teams and supervision.
• Own daily administration, planning, and oversight of automation areas.
• Coordinate schedules, staffing, material readiness, and readiness with stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and improve standard processes and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste, cost, and rework.
• Lead corrective actions from QA/QC findings and ensure compliance.
• Monitor KPIs and present performance to leadership and stakeholders.
