Job summary

Skechers, a global footwear leader, is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for our Moreno Valley distribution center in Southern California. You will perform intermediate maintenance, troubleshoot complex automated warehouse systems, and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, PLC troubleshooting, and a solid safety record aligned with NFPA 70E standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automated material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.
• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems and HMI interfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at variable heights with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical failures on complex automated warehouse systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs to the Input/Output level under supervision.
• Diagnose and repair Motor Control Panels, including motor starters, overloads, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and fuses.
• Maintain and repair sensors, photo eyes, proximity switches, bar code readers, and dimensions.
• Replace and wire dual voltage motors (480vac/208vac 3-phase) with brake systems and diagnose speed reducers.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including compressors, valves, actuators, cylinders, and related components.
• Perform fabrication work using cutting, drilling, and welding techniques following hot work safety standards.
• Maintain and repair multiple conveyor systems and sortation systems.
• Navigate Warehouse Control Systems and HMI interfaces for diagnostics and control.
• Work with Print and Apply systems and ASRS components.
