Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide high-level electrical, mechanical, and control system maintenance for our line of automated equipment.

You will help keep machines in excellent condition and support production and facility reliability. The role involves troubleshooting electrical controls, reading schematics, performing PM activities, and collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Related work experience to automation and general maintenance.
• At least 2 years in mechanical and automation technologies, troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read mechanical prints and electrical schematics; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical controls including motor starters, relays, VFDs, sensors, PLCs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems: conveyors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, gearboxes and drives.
• Read schematics, manuals, blueprints and other technical documents.
• Support the Preventive Maintenance program and continuous improvement.
• Communicate with manufacturing teams and management.
• Assist engineering projects for new equipment and improvements.
• Follow safety policies including lock-out/tag-out and other guidelines.
• Coordinate OEM services and parts with Maintenance Planning and Parts.
• Work with little supervision.
