Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Maintenance Technician onsite in Fountain Inn, SC, to complete preventive maintenance and repairs on automated material handling systems. You will report to a Facilities Supervisor and work a 4x10 schedule.

You will troubleshoot conveyors, perform PLC programming changes when authorized, and operate distribution center equipment. Safety, LOTO, and NEC/OSHA compliance are required, with on-call rotation in the job scope.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
2+ years of experience with AC drives (setup, programming, faults).
Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Respond to system issues involving conveyors and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software).
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of conveyors and building systems.
Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes when authorized.
Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center.
Be able to work at heights and be available for 24-hour on-call rotation.
