Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, calibration, setup, and repair of equipment across production lines. The role requires PLC, Fanuc robotics, and electrical/pneumatic troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The candidate should be able to read blueprints and electrical schematics, communicate well, and work effectively in a team while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic and pneumatic prints.
• Experience with Fanuc LRMate 200iD or similar Fanuc robotics systems.
• Lift truck certification preferred or to be obtained in a reasonable timeframe.
• Strong communication skills; experience leading training is a plus.
• Able to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in small spaces.

• Daily housekeeping and 5S activities.

General Responsibility –

Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation, as well as diagnosing and repairing problems with equipment.

Job Duties/Essential Functions –

• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation
• Perform preventive maintenance, machine setup, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and robotic equipment. Strong PLC knowledge required.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic control system problems on production machinery, auxiliary equipment and fixtures
• Plan, layout and install electrical and pneumatic systems in support of the fabrication and installation of new equipment and fixtures
• Communicate and work cooperatively with fellow technicians and line associates
• Assist with set up and tear down of packaging line and changeover of automated pack station
• Daily housekeeping and 5S activities

Minimum Requirements –

• Job related experience a minimum 3-5 years
• Able to read mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic and pneumatic prints
• Knowledge and experience with Fanuc LRMate 200iD or similar Fanuc robotics systems required
• Lift Truck Certified (preferred but not necessary.) If not certified in Lift Truck, must become certified in reasonable amount of time
• Must be able to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing; experience in leading training of others a plus
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to perform duties within small areas, as small as 2 ft x 2 ft
• Strong PLC experience required, experience with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/500 and Studio 5000 a plus.
• Working knowledge of the current National Electric Code (NEC) is desirable.
• Must follow all standard work procedures
• Must successfully complete the Lock Out/ Tag Out training within reasonable amount of time
• Must follow all safety procedures
• Must wear/ use all required PPE, to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), proper foot wear (as outlined in the employee handbook), etc.
