Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician (6PM–6AM) in New Albany, OH. You’ll provide technical engineering support for optimization, upgrades, and regulatory compliance in a 24‑hour manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing automated equipment via PLC/HMI, coordinating cross‑functional support, and assisting during regulatory inspections. Strong preference for Mechatronics/Electrical engineering backgrounds and scalable problem solving.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Associates degree + 4 years of technical engineering experience.
High school diploma / GED + 6 years of technical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Complete advanced maintenance activities or operate and monitor plant equipment per CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs.
Use PLC and HMI software tools to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.
Coordinate tech support across engineering, regulatory, calibration, quality and process automation.
Assist during regulatory inspections and respond to FDA, etc.
Maintain up-to-date spare parts inventory for equipment.
Evaluate maintenance procedures and optimize programs; troubleshoot failures.
Interpret and review P&IDs, utility and HVAC plans.
Support operations in non-standard shifts including weekends/holidays.
