Job description

The Maintenance Technician is a technical leader and subject matter expert (SME) responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, uptime, and operational performance within a highly automated production environment. This role leads advanced troubleshooting and repair efforts across robotics, vision systems, conveyors, PLC-controlled equipment, and other production technologies. Beyond hands‑on maintenance, the Maintenance Technician mentors team members, drives continuous improvement initiatives, champions safety and compliance, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex equipment issues. Working cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams, this individual helps optimize productivity, enhance equipment performance, and minimize downtime.

This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility, with a schedule of Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, robotic, vision, and automation systems, including KUKA robots, Cognex vision systems, shrink tunnels, conveyors, and PLC-controlled equipment
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring failures
• Serve as the primary escalation resource for advanced equipment and automation issues
• Analyze maintenance data and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance
• Recommend equipment upgrades, design enhancements, and process improvements to reduce downtime
• Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians on troubleshooting, safety, maintenance procedures, and best practices
• Support onboarding and development of new technicians through structured training and hands‑on coaching
• Lead daily shift meetings to communicate safety updates, maintenance priorities, and operational goals
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding team performance and development opportunities
• Coordinate maintenance activities and provide shift leadership when supervisors are unavailable
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with CMMS (e.g., eMaint) work order standards
• Develop and update SOPs, PM procedures, troubleshooting guides, and LOTO documentation
• Audit preventive maintenance activities to ensure quality and effectiveness
• Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and equipment reliability
• Champion workplace safety through LOTO compliance, safety audits, and proactive risk identification
• Assist in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and support ongoing safety training efforts
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure maintenance activities meet safety, quality, and customer compliance requirements
• Identify critical spare parts requirements and support inventory optimization efforts
• Assist with storeroom audits and ensure availability of essential repair components

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including experience with automation systems and advanced troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems, robotics, PLCs, vision systems, motors, sensors, and industrial controls
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation
• Experience using CMMS platforms such as eMaint or similar maintenance management systems
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Experience leading, mentoring, or training maintenance technicians
• Hands‑on experience with KUKA robotics, Cognex vision systems, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar automation platforms
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience leading continuous improvement, reliability, or equipment optimization projects

Pay Range:

$20.96 - $34.59
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
