Job summary

Berco of America seeks an Automation Projects & Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliability and continuous improvement of automated equipment at the WI plant. You will lead troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and calibration systems to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.

Responsibilities include programming on Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, data analysis for bottlenecks, and integration of new automation technologies with existing lines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in automation/controls engineering, maintenance or PLC programming.
Communication and troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot preventive and corrective maintenance on automated lines.
Ensure programming functionality of automated lines is correct.
Manage downtime events and restore production quickly.
Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows for higher OEE.
Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs and PM gaps.
