Job summary

thyssenkrupp Berco in Wisconsin is seeking an Automation Projects & Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of automated equipment at the Berco of America WI plant. The role combines diagnostics with control systems engineering to support stable, efficient operations and rapid downtime response.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in Automation/Controls Engineering, Maintenance or PLC programming.
Experience with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens S7 platforms.
Familiar with FANUC robotics and CNC machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot automation lines (preventive and corrective).
Ensure proper programming of automated lines and minimize downtime.
Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and improve OEE.
Develop and implement PM programs in collaboration with maintenance.
Provide emergency breakdown support to production lines.
