Job summary

Erdrich USA, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Controls Engineer to support and improve automated manufacturing operations in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing production equipment, PLC controls, electrical systems, and safety compliance to maximize uptime and quality. You will work with Siemens PLCs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance planning, documentation, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Preferred: additional training in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance engineering preferred.
• Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs and high-volume production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, facility systems, and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime and operational reliability.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support machine availability and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.
• Modify and create basic PLC programs for equipment improvements and production requirements.
• Support machine automation upgrades and equipment optimization projects.
• Read and interpret electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and diagrams.
• Ensure electrical systems comply with company standards and regulations; document maintenance activities in SAP.
