Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Machine Builder to assemble equipment per mechanical drawings in an on-site Ogden, UT facility. The role requires reading drawings, basic computer skills, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will operate mills, lathes, drills, grinders, and other shop equipment, document progress, and travel up to 20% for project needs. Strong teamwork and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Intermediate proficiency reading part and assembly drawings.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and traverse shop environment.
• Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.
• Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo forklift license and related safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assemble equipment per mechanical drawings.
• Document changes and issues; communicate progress.
• Carry out tasks with minimal direct supervision.
• Adhere to ISO/Quality standards.
• Coordinate with Machine Build Lead on issues and progress.
• Ensure safety and quality in the build process.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Assist with material prep for secondary processes.
