Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Machine Builder in Ogden, UT to assemble equipment per drawings, document changes, and communicate progress. The role requires operating a range of machine shop equipment, reading drawings, and maintaining safety and quality standards on-site.

Qualified candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to travel up to 20% for projects. A Hi-Lo forklift license and related training are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Experience with machine shop equipment and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble equipment per mechanical drawings and specs.
• Document changes and communicate issues to the team.
• Perform tasks with minimal direct supervision while meeting quality and timing goals.
• Support material preparation for secondary processes (finishing, heat treat, deburring).
• Operate mills, lathes, drills, grinders and related equipment safely.
