Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a skilled Machine Builder to assemble custom automated machinery from the ground up. You’ll engage in mechanical assembly, system integration, testing, and installation support in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role emphasizes craftsmanship, safety, and precision with opportunities for travel up to 20% and onsite work in Holland, MI.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent certification required.
Related vocational education preferred.
Basic computer skills needed.
Ability to read and interpret part and assembly drawings.
Experience in automation or manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Assemble equipment per mechanical drawings and specifications.
Document changes and issues; communicate status to leads.
Work with minimal supervision and maintain quality standards.
Follow ISO/Quality procedures and safety practices.
Collaborate with the build lead on open issues and progress.
Execute assigned programs focusing on cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain organized, clean work area; prepare material for secondary processes.
Operate mill, lathe, drill press, surface grinder, saws, shears, and presses as required.
