Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring an Automation Technician for the Consumer Health Logistics Center in Groveport, OH. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems to ensure high reliability and minimal downtime.

You will analyze performance, report findings to leadership, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work is on-site with second-shift hours, Monday through Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with a strong emphasis on Preventive and Predictive maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 4+ years of experience preferred
• Basic understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems knowledge
• Familiarity with conveyor systems and industrial maintenance safety standards
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance scheduling tools

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems including conveyors, sorters, depalletizing robots, and handling equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues using diagnostic tools and schematics
• Monitor system performance and address bottlenecks to improve reliability and uptime
• Maintain maintenance logs, parts inventory, and service records
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and configuration of new automation systems
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize maintenance activities and safety compliance
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians as needed
