Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking an Automation Lead to ensure the availability and reliability of our Automated System in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience with systems, material handling equipment, or similar technologies.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions in English.
• Ability to input data into computer systems.
• Able to work overtime as assigned.
• Stand and walk up to 12 hours per day.
• Operate forklift equipment.
• Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Align coverage for breaks and lunches for automation specialists on shift.
• Train backups to conduct processes that align with the SOW.
• Escalate issues to maintenance as assigned in the SOW.
• Track automation downtime to monitor tech response times to faults.
• Respond to system alarms and errors, performing corrective maintenance as needed.
• Manually override or complete the job the unit failed to complete.
• Track issues/repairs and utilize escalation process.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with navigation, control systems, and communication networks.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Utilize advanced computer skills to access and analyze system data, perform software updates, and configure system settings.
• Collaborate with Equipment Engineer to optimize routes, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime.
• May be required to perform other warehouse functions.
