Job summary

Ridgeline is hiring an IT Automation & Support Engineer to build backend automation and provide in-office IT support. You will develop automations in Okta Workflows and Jira Automation, and also handle Tier 1–2 requests on-site at least part of the week.

You’ll join a hybrid team that values automation, process improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration across West Coast offices and beyond.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IT operations or system administration.
• Experience building automations, not just using them.
• Comfort scripting in Python or Bash.
• Hands-on Okta experience (user and app provisioning, security policies).
• Experience managing Mac fleets with Jamf, Google Workspace, and Atlassian.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automations for repetitive work like access management and laptop inventory.
• Develop automation pipelines in Okta Workflows and Jira Automation.
• Build agentic workflows in Atlassian Rovo: creating skills, improving the inputs the AI learns from, and expanding automated ticket deflection.
• Plan and scope work with the team on sprint cycles.
• Provide hands-on, in-person support at your office.
• Handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 support: laptop provisioning, account lifecycle, and everyday employee IT needs.
• Be the local go-to, so the rest of the team can stay focused on project work.
• By 30 days: understand systems and processes; by 60 days: weigh in on priorities; by 90 days: run sprint work and improve processes.
