Job summary

Guidehouse seeks an Automation Cell Culture Biologist to support NIA CARD research in Bethesda, MD. The role centers on large-scale iPSC culture using automated liquid handling and high-throughput robotics, with protocol development for neuronal lineages and disease-relevant cell types.

The candidate will program and maintain Hamilton/Tecan systems, analyze data, and contribute to manuscripts and reports. Requires a Master’s in a life science field and 2+ years in related lab work, with GLP

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of related laboratory experience.
• GLP experience and hands-on iPSC culture experience.
• Proficiency operating and programming automated liquid handling platforms and robotics (Hamilton, Tecan, Beckman, or Agilent).
• Strong data analysis, notebooks, and documentation kept accurate.

Responsibilities

• Characterize ADRD genetic pathways using human cell-based models.
• Perform large-scale iPSC culture on automated platforms and robotics.
• Develop differentiation protocols for neurons, astrocytes, and microglia.
• Plan and support multiple ADRD research projects and deliverables.
• Train staff on instrumentation and automated systems.
• Prepare figures, manuscripts, and scientific reports.
