Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory in New York, NY seeks a Cellular Biologist II to plan experimental design, execute cell culture for iPSC lines, and develop new workflows using robotic platforms and manual methods.

You will collaborate across project managers, engineering teams, and support staff to ensure accurate data, SOPs, and timely reports while maintaining inventory and QA standards in a production-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in biology or related field.
• Two years of professional lab experience in automated/manual cell culture for iPSC lines.
• Experience with automated derivation and culture of iPSCs via robotic systems.
• Experience with processing biological inputs and maintaining records in LIMS.
• Ability to troubleshoot and document complex lab workflows.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute cell culture experiments for iPSC lines using automated and manual methods.
• Develop, optimize, and document SOPs; troubleshoot workflow issues.
• Monitor resources, manage inventory, and coordinate with operations teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and tech staff on production workflows.
• Prepare data, reports, and scientific documentation for publication and audits.
