Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Massachusetts is offering a 10-week Summer Internship within Personal Lines Operations. You will develop automations, work with data, and present outcomes to leadership.

Candidates should be currently enrolled in a CS/technical degree program, with strong Python and SQL skills, and an interest in AI technologies. Interns collaborate on cross-functional projects, receive mentorship from experienced leaders, and participate in workshops and networking activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced degree program preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Commit to a full-time 10-week internship.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or later.
• CS/technical degree preferred.
• Design and code automations for end-to-end processes.
• Integrate and evaluate large, complex data sets.
• Turn raw data into meaningful information.
• Strong communication and ability to present technical details.
• Effective communication to stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and solid SQL knowledge.
• Awareness of AI tech and software automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand process and data flow diagrams.
• Understand design and development of automations to support business clients.
• Independently develop automations on low to medium complexity projects.
• Interact with business customers to provide data and support.
• Share performance metrics of automations to identify improvements.
• Develop automation reporting and trend analysis based on KPIs.
• Create and present a final internship presentation to management.
