Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Massachusetts is offering a Summer Internship in our Technology team. The 10-week program runs June through mid-August and lets you work on meaningful projects alongside experienced mentors.

You'll gain hands-on software development experience in Java, Python, or C++, plus exposure to Generative AI and cloud-based workflows. This internship prepares you for potential full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software background preferred.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and other front-end technologies is an additional benefit.
• Experience in prompt engineering and cloud/MLOps tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in software development using languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Gain hands on experience with Generative AI frameworks.
• Understand GenAI patterns such as RAG, Vector Databases and integrate GenAI models via REST APIs or microservices.
• Work with senior developers to research, design, and implement web technologies.
• Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership at close of internship.
