Job summary

Global Compression Services LLC in Houston, Texas seeks an Ignition and Automation Sales Representative to sell instrumentation, controls, and automation solutions for our compression equipment and aftermarket offerings.

You will collaborate with engineering to translate customer requirements into technical proposals and partner with Regional Sales Managers to drive automation initiatives, with regular travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

5+ years of technical sales experience in instrumentation, controls, or automation.
Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, compressor package controls, and remote monitoring.
Ability to translate technical requirements into clear customer proposals; strong communication.

Responsibilities

Sell instrumentation and automation solutions, including package controls, SCADA/telemetry, remote monitoring, and PLC/automation retrofits.
Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets for automation and controls scopes of work.
Partner with engineering to scope automation needs and translate requirements into technical proposals.
Support Regional Sales Managers and Account Managers with automation expertise.
Build relationships with customer engineering, operations, and controls personnel.
Stay current on automation technology relevant to compression and gas processing.
Provide technical input into pricing and proposal development for automation scopes.
