Job summary

Macy’s is seeking an Operations Manager for our Automated Customer Fulfillment Center in Martinsburg, WV. You will lead a distribution department, mentor hourly staff, and partner with IT to refine systems and processes to boost efficiency.

You will report to the Director of Operations and drive safety, quality, and customer service while building a positive culture in a fast-paced, automation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting and long periods of standing.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in automation environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a distribution department with focus on meeting goals.
• Build high-performing teams and mentor hourly colleagues.
• Generate reports on key metrics for management.
• Ensure safety, cost control, quality, and reliable operations.
• Present to senior management as needed.
• Analyze processes to identify and implement improvements.
• Foster a customer-service oriented culture and teamwork.
• Coordinate handoffs between shifts for efficiency.
• Maintain inventory control and accuracy.
• Review costs, activities, and forecast data to track progress.
• Establish Safe/Smart work practices and safety compliance.
