Job summary

PSI Engineering in Elgin, IL is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, and service PSI equipment at customer sites across North America. You will troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and provide on-site training to operators and maintenance staff while traveling to client locations.

You will be a customer-facing technical representative, collaborating with engineers, resolving complex issues, and ensuring warranties and service tickets are properly documented.

Qualifications

• Field Service Technician experience in machinery servicing.
• Technical certificate or degree in the field.
• Mechanical and electrical skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
• Strong customer focus and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and service PSI equipment at customer sites.
• Train customer staff on operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
• Diagnose errors and determine proper solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers on spare parts lists.
• Maintain service tickets and daily reports.
