SunSource seeks an Automation Field Service Specialist to join the Automation and Factory Solutions Division. This role blends hands-on technical work with customer interaction and requires work on PLCs, motion control, and robotics across Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana.

You will manage service projects from proposal to implementation, write detailed service proposals, and maintain strong client relationships while staying current with automation trends.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant field experience.
• Strong PLC programming and automation technology background.
• Willingness to travel around 50–70% as needed.

Responsabilités

• Perform on-site service work up to 70% travel.
• Manage and execute multiple automation service projects.
• Develop and implement service solutions for customers’ automation needs.
• Write detailed service proposals and manage project lifecycles.
• Analyze electrical diagrams, blueprints, and PLC programs.
• Build strong client relationships through technical expertise and service.
• Identify cross-divisional sales opportunities and leads.
