Job summary

Amada America, Inc. is seeking a field service professional to install and commission complex machinery. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, following blueprints and layouts, and train customers on line control software.

Role requires daily reports, weekly expense reports, and regular travel within the Detroit area. Strong English communication and customer-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A 4 yr degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2 yr degree with related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope.
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
• Proficient in trouble shooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems as well as networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the total equipment installation process at Customer site entailing use of hand tools, climbing, bending, stooping.
• Complete status (service) reports on a daily basis and expense reports on a weekly basis.
• Regular travel within assigned territories.
• The ability to communicate in the English language.
• Excellent customer relations and follow through.
