Job summary

Calance, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineering Technician – PLC & Robotics for an onsite, 12+ month contract in Liberty, NC. The role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing setting and hands-on expertise with Mitsubishi PLCs, servo motion controllers, robotics, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Travel up to 30% and overtime may be required. The position is 100% onsite with typical hours 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment or equipment installation/debugging.
• Electrical and/or mechanical systems experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with PLC programming (Mitsubishi preferred).
• Experience with servo motion controllers and robotics, including programming/troubleshooting.
• Hydraulic or pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading.

JOB DETAILS

Position: Automation Engineering Technician – PLC & Robotics

Duration: 12+ Months (On-going Contract)

Location: ONSITE - Liberty, NC 27298

Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour (W2 Only)

Must be LOCAL or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense

HOURS: MON-FRI 8am-5pm (This role is 100% ONSITE, when your not traveling)

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of relevant experience


• Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equipment installation and debugging experience.


• Experience with Electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.


• Technical experience with PLCs in programming, including read, write and modify logic (Mitsubishi preferred).


• Technical experience with Servo Motion Controllers.


• Technical experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting.


• Technical experience with Robotics including programming and troubleshooting.


• Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading


• Education: High School Graduate/GED

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• 30%: Travel - Domestic and International (US, Canada and Mexico)


• 30%: Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required


• PPE: Will wear Steel Toed Shoes/Hard Hat and Safety Glasses

DESIRED SKILLS (Nice to haves)

• Technical associate degree or higher or equivalent experience.


• Experience in pre-production set up.


• Experience with Production Processes including Standardized Work (STW) and Job Instruction Sheets (JIS).


• Experience gathering and analyzing quality data from multiple sources.


• New plant or facility startup experience.


• Experience with high volume production in a clean room environment.
