Job summary

Seibi Technical Trainer (Automotive Maintenance / PLC) position based in Georgetown, KY is an onsite contract role with a pay rate of $50.00–$57.00 per hour (W2 only). The role requires extensive travel to NAMCs and suppliers across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and beyond, including potential Japan trips.

Qualifications

• Toyota manufacturing experience strongly preferred; others considered with strong related skills.
• 10+ years current or recent Seibi or automotive maintenance experience.
• 10+ years Toyota PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience.
• 10+ years training experience in Seibi technical group or maintenance.
• 3+ years Omron PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience.
• Ability to train others in classroom environments and on-the-job training (OJT).
• Experience writing training curricula.
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions with new hires and experienced team members within BPE.
• Create new training plans as technologies are introduced.
• Offline and/or online robot programming.
• Verify that new model equipment meets standards and performs as intended.
• Prepare and validate new Body equipment at the vendors.
• Support Seibi activity at NAMCs from installation to start of production.
• Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trials.
• Travel to U.S., Canada, Mexico NAMCs and suppliers; international travel to Japan, Canada, Mexico.
• Overtime work, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Job Title: Seibi Technical Trainer (Automotive Maintenance / PLC) - ID: 45104

Duration: 12+ Months (On-Going Contract)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Georgetown, KY

Pay Rate: $50.00 - $57.00 per hour (W2 Only)

Location & Availability

• LOCAL candidates (within 100 miles radius) or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense
• This is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered

Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions with both new hires and experienced members within the BPE organization
• Create new training plans as new technologies are implemented
• Offline and/or online robot programming
• Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
• Prepare and confirm new Body equipment at the vendors
• Support Machine Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production
• Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials
• Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, and Mexico.
• Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Required Skills / Experience

• Prior Toyota manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Candidates without Toyota experience will also be considered if they demonstrate strong technical expertise and closely aligned experience with the role’s requirements below
• 10+ years current or recent Seibi or Automotive maintenance experience
• 10+ years Toyota PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience
• 10+ years Training experience in Seibi technical group or maintenance
• 3+ years Omron PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience

• 25% Travel - Domestic and International (able to obtain a US Passport) (US, Japan, Mexico and Canada)
• 50% Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required
